SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of graduation can also apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31 December 2026.

Candidates with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) must ensure that their date of passing is on or before 31 December 2026.

Local Language Requirement

Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the State/UT for which they apply.

SBI Junior Associate Salary 2026

The starting Basic Pay is ₹26,730 plus two advance increments for graduates. The pay scale is of ₹24,050-64,480 as per the grade pay.

The total emoluments for the post of a Junior Associate at places like Mumbai would be around ₹46,000 a month, comprising Dearness Allowance and other allowances. However, the amount may vary depending on the posting location.

In addition to the salary, selected candidates would be entitled to receive benefits like

and other allowances and benefits.

Candidates who can produce their Class 10 or 12 certificate/mark sheet showing that they studied the specified local language are exempt from this test.
